powerschool-logo

NOTE: This page has been updated here.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED:

If you have more than one child and received one than one email, you are going to want to figure out what access information belongs to which child before Creating a Parent/Guardian account.

To figure out which information belongs to each child, you will want to log into your child’s Student account.  Follow these steps:

The second link on the email along with the Student Access ID and Student Access Password is your child’s unique codes to look at their personal PowerSchool account.  They do not need to create an account, all they need to do is type in this information on the SIGN IN page:

Username:  Type in STUDENT ACCESS ID

Password:  Type in STUDENT ACCESS PASSWORD

Once in, you should see in the right hand corner who this account belongs to.  Now when you go to create your Parent/Guardian account, you will know which email belongs to which child.

It is now time to create a new Parent/Guardian account by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://mvrhs.powerschool.com/public

2.  Click on the button labeled “Create Account.”

3.  For this step you are using your own desired information.  You DO NOT use any of the information provided in the sent email during this step.  Fill in YOUR information, First Name, Last Name, email, Username (be sure to write this down).

4. Create a password of your choosing.

WARNING!!!  Your password must be at least 10 characters long, be sure to include a number and character.  If it does not like your password it will kick you back to start again. Be sure to write down your Username and Password!

5. In order to set up LINKS TO STUDENT ACCOUNT, you must have the email from the high school that includes GUARDIAN INFO!!!

Type in your child’s official name, (no nick names, ex.  Jessica Estrella)

You are now going to get the GUARDIAN INFO from your email.  You are going to use the Guardian Access ID and Guardian Access Password provided.

Access ID: ______(Guardian Access ID)
Access Password: _______(Guardian Access Password…be sure to copy exactly!)

Relationship refers to your relationship to the student, (ex. Mother, Grandfather)

6.  If you have more than one child you should have received a second email.  You will then move down to 2, using your second child’s unique Guardian Access ID and Password.

7. Take note of the User Name and Password that you have just created, because you will need them to log in to the PowerSchool portal once you click on “Enter”.

8.  This is now how you as the Parent/Guardian can access your student’s information.

9.  The second link on the email along with the Student Access ID and Student Access Password is your child’s unique codes to look at their personal PowerSchool account.  They do not need to create an account, all they need to do is type in this information on the Sign In page:
