The Special Education Department, through collaborative research-based models will strive to meet the needs of students with disabilities by:
- Providing specialized instruction and support for students to develop skills of self-advocacy, independent thinking, respect for individuality and to act with integrity.
- Collaborating with all education staff to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students within the community.
- Expanding opportunities for inclusion with a strategic team-based approach.
