This screening program, as required by Massachusetts law H.4056, is related to the use of alcohol, marijuana, and other substances by middle and high school students. The primary goal of the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to treatment (SBIRT) is to identify and effectively intervene with students who may be at moderate or high risk for problems related to substance use/ abuse.
