MVRHS is proud to announce the inaugural Waylon Madison Sauer Memorial 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, April 7th. This event, held in memory of Waylon Madison Sauer, promises to be an exciting day of friendly competition and community spirit.
Teams of teens and adults from the Island have been invited to participate in this unique tournament, which guarantees each team three 3 v 3 games starting at 10:00 am. The top four teams will then advance to the semi-finals at 11:30 am, with the championship game slated for 12:15 pm. Please note that game times are estimated and subject to change based on participation levels.
In addition to the basketball action, there will be a celebration of sponsors, supporters, and teams at noon, followed by the highly anticipated championship game at 12:15 pm. The tournament will conclude with a celebration and closing remarks at 12:30 pm.
Community members are encouraged to attend and there will be snacks and beverages available at the event. Limited seating will be available until the semi-final games begin.

Interested in putting a team together? Teams are guaranteed 3 games – starting at 10:00 am. The top 4 teams will make it to the semi-finals starting at 11:30 am and the final two teams will play the final at 12:15. Payment can be brought to the front office or the SAO for both sponsorships and team sign ups. Teams are not officially signed up until payment has been received! Sign up your team here!
