Greetings Seniors!
A quick update on the local scholarship application. Many of you have begun your application but are unable proceed because of the mandatory FASFA question. Due to delays with the new FAFSA, you may have filed your FASFA but are still waiting to receive your Student Aid Report.
To remedy this, we have updated the FASFA question on the application. For those of you who have filed your FASFA but are still waiting to receive your Student Aid Report, you now have the option of selecting:“Yes, I am eligible and have filed the 2024-2025 FAFSA, but have not yet received my Student Aid Report.”
Once you’ve submitted your FAFSA, you should receive an email (or check your online portal) confirming your FAFSA is being processed. If you select the option above, the form will ask you to upload a screenshot of your email or portal indicating that your FASFA is in progress. This should allow you to proceed with your application. Once you receive your Student Aid Report from the state, please email it to scholarships@mvyps.org. Once received, it will be added to your application.
