Scholarship Program Updates: New Process for Letter of Rec, New Section 2 Scholarship Added, MVYouth Deadline

Greetings Class of 2023!

Please find Scholarship Program updates below.

MVYouth Scholarship Program – Application Deadline Reminder!

  • The scholarship application deadline for MVYouth College Scholarship, MVYouth Healthcare & Education Scholarship, and MVYouth Workforce Development Scholarship are coming up! If you plan to apply, make sure you complete the online application by Sunday, February 12th!
  • If you have any questions about the application process, please contact MVYouth Executive Director, Lindsey Scott, lindseyscott@mvyouth.com.

New Process for Letter of Recommendation

  • You no longer need to secure or upload your letter of recommendation. Instead, within the online application you will be prompted to provide the name of one teacher, guidance counselor, or other school personnel whose letter of recommendation you would like to use (this letter should be one of the letters you have already requested). From there, guidance will pull your letter (along with your mid-year transcript) from Naviance and upload it to your application. There is no further action required by you.

Online Application: Be sure to Create your Online Account!

  • If you haven’t already, be sure to create your account and begin filling out your application for Section 1 and Section 2 scholarships!
