Performers from MVRHS will transport audience members to the magical island of Illyria during their upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy Twelfth Night.
The students will perform a musical adaptation whose text was conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub. Brooke Ditchfield directs, with musical direction by Abigail Chandler, choreography by Ken Romero and a live pit band directed by Stephanie Aurenz.
Performances will take place Feb. 15, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center located at the high school. Tickets will be available at the door.
