September Update for Parents
Welcome back to everyone. We are excited to welcome students, staff and families back for the year. I would like to take the time to roll out a few things that are going on this year. We will also be taking time to unpack these things with students during our first few days of school. Four key initiatives this year Flex Block Every day, students will have 40 minutes to meet with teachers, counselors, clubs, mentors and each other. 2016-17 Engineering Challenge Grand Winners
Each month, students have signed up to compete in a monthly engineering challenge meet. At the meet, they were issued a design challenge, and they worked in teams of 2-3 to meet that challenge. After 45 minutes, the designs were evaluated, and the meet winners were determined. All members of winning teams accumulated points over the season, and our seven-meet season is now complete. A total of 41 students participated in the Engineering Challenge over the course of this year. Senior Project Exhibition and Presentations
Martha's Vineyard Regional High School is proud to announce the schedules of the 2017 senior project public exhibitions and presentations. And exhibition of projects will take place in the high school library on May 3rd and May 4th. Individual presentations begin May 15th. Both are open to the public However, as viewing and audience space is limited we request an RSVP at least a day in advance. Most presentations will take place in the Library Conference Room.
