Social Studies Teacher Andrew Vandall’s Presentation at NE Doctoral Students Conference
On Saturday, social studies teacher Andrew Vandall presented at the New England Doctoral Students Conference at Rivier, University, Nashua NH. It was a fun day, filled with conferences, workshops, and presentations from doctoral students on their current research. Vandall presented his paper on "The Relationships Between Attitude, Preference, and Achievement in High School Aged ELLs from Brazil". MVRHS DECA Places at States
Seeking SWEAR participants
In a continued effort to strengthen our school community, MVRHS is seeking 25, 11th grade students (20 boys / 5 girls) to participate in our SWEAR program. SWEAR's mission is to educate MVRHS students on the myths, stereotypes, and repercussions of sexual assault and rape. The program is predominantly led by young men with the premise being that sexual violence is not just a women’s issue, but a men’s issue as well. The two day workshop focuses on masculinity, the socialization of manhood in our culture and the epidemic of sexual assault and rape.
