Having conversations about loss and suicide
Dear Community Members, MVRHS would like to invite you to attend an important community meeting hosted by the Riverside Trauma Center on Tuesday, September 10th from 6:30-8:00pm in the MVRHS Library. The Director of the Riverside Trauma Center, Dr. Larry Berkowitz, will present ideas on how to have conversations with your children about sudden tragic events/losses and in particular how we talk about suicide with our children. Part of this meeting will be a presentation but more of the time will be spent responding to questions parents/guardians have, and the sharing of what is working in your conversations with your teens.
