Four students represented MVRHS at this year’s “virtual” Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair. Annabelle Brothers, Jack Hayden, and Linus Munn received Honorable Mention awards. Students were asked to create and submit a 5-minute video about their project, which was scored by a panel of judges. The event was the culmination of many hours of research and experimentation. Julianne Joseph wins National Silver Medal at 2020 Scholastic Art Awards
MVRHS Senior Julianne Joseph has won a National Silver Medal at the 2020 Scholastic Art Awards for her photograph, "Party Favor". Traditionally, medallists are invited to Carnegie Hall in New York City to celebrate their award. We are awaiting word whether the celebration will occur as scheduled. This year 24 MVRHS Art, Design, & Technology students won a total of 31 awards at the 2020 Massachusetts Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, in categories including ceramics, digital art, painting, photography, and video game design. Science Fair Results
Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) hosted its 21st Annual Science and Engineering Fair on February 7th and 8th. The twenty-two student projects were scored by the fair’s twenty-one judges on the first day of the event. A public viewing of the projects and awards ceremony were the highlights of the second day. Additionally, students from the MVRHS Navigator Program hosted two engineering challenge stations during the public viewing.
