MVRHS Statement of Anticipated Minneapolis Verdict

While we are all looking forward to spring vacation, Martha's Vineyard Regional High School remains mindful of the impending court verdict regarding the tragic killing of George Floyd and the impact it will have locally and globally. The MVRHS community condemns the long-standing and systemic violence inflicted on people of color.  Above all, we affirm peace. Statement Regarding the Recent Violence Against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islander Americans

The significant increase in violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans this past year, the most recent being the murder of six women and two men of Asian descent in Atlanta, is an outgrowth of systemic racism and should be condemned as such.  The MVRHS school community continues to affirm peace and condemn violence in all forms.
