Greetings MVRHS community,
We hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you about an upcoming change in students’ access to technology at MVRHS. Starting next school year (2024-25), personal computers will no longer be allowed during regular school hours and all personal devices will no longer be allowed on the school network. We will be transitioning to the use of school-issued Chromebooks for all students.
This decision has been made after careful consideration to enhance students’ overall learning experience, streamline technology support, and create a more standardized computing environment across all classrooms. We believe that the shift to school-issued Chromebooks will offer several benefits to both students and teachers, fostering a more consistent educational environment.
Here are some key points about the transition:
Chromebooks for All Students:
- Every student will be provided with a school-issued Chromebook for the duration of their time at MVRHS.
- These Chromebooks will come pre-loaded with essential educational tools and applications, ensuring a consistent and secure digital learning environment.
- Students are welcome to use their personal technology outside of school hours, and will be able to access materials across devices via their MVRHS Google accounts.
Enhanced Security and Safety:
- Chromebooks offer robust security features, protecting students and their data from potential threats.
- The school can better ensure a safe online environment for all students.
Improved Technical Support:
- With a standardized set of devices, our technical support team will be better equipped to address any issues promptly and efficiently.
- Teachers and students can expect quicker resolution times for technical concerns
If you have specific concerns or require additional information, please feel free to reach out to administration.
Thank you,
