The Animal Shelter provides shelter, health care, love and support to most domestic animals until a permanent home is found.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard relies on volunteers to assist in day-to-day tasks, as well as special events and building repairs. Community support and involvement is an integral part of the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard, the Shelter would not be able to sustain its mission without support of members of the Martha’s Vineyard community.
Some ASMV volunteer opportunities:
- Morning cleaning and feeding
- Evening feeding and “tucking in”
- Dog Walking and Cat Socializing
- Foster Pet Parenting
- Intake and Adoption Assistance
- Lawn and Garden Maintenance
- Building Maintenance
In addition to these opportunities, the Shelter welcomes volunteers with special skills in graphic design, marketing and development.
How to become a Volunteer:
