Dear Seniors,
We can not believe we are almost done with the first quarter. In talking to many of you, you have expressed a similar sentiment. Where did the time go?
As you know, first quarter ends Friday, November 3rd. We wanted to share a timetable that you should know regarding how the end of the quarter grading process works.
- Grades close November 3rd. After first quarter grades close, the PowerSchool portal closes while teachers calculate and submit their grades and first quarter will not be visible to students and parents.
- Teachers submit and lock their first quarter grades on Friday, November 10th.
- Grades are then verified, and mistakes are rectified, before grades are made visible to students and parents the week of November 13th.
For seniors who have already applied to college, or are applying with a November 1 deadline, please know that we will send your first quarter grades to all the schools you applied to by Friday, November 17th. You may have, or you will receive, a request from college’s asking for your grades. Please rest assured that your schools will get your grades in a timely manner.
For other students who are submitting their applications later in the process, please know that we will also have a mid-year transcript available for all students in the middle of February. Second quarter/first semester ends January 26th, and your transcripts will include your semester grades by Friday, February 16.
