For all matters involving grades, assignments, student behavior, etc. parents and students should first contact the classroom teacher. You can email them directly after finding them in the staff directory.
If a matter is not resolved after speaking with the classroom teacher, parents and students should then contact the appropriate department chair.

Who should I contact if I have a question about my child’s schedule or the class selection process?
Contact Guidance. If you know your child’s counselor, you can email or call directly. If not, call Cindy Grant, the Guidance Administrative Support Person at (508) 693-1033 ext. 121 or you can email her.
Who should I contact if I have a question or concern regarding sports or a coach?

Who should I contact if my child was injured or has a health issue?
Contact the Nurse’s Office at (508) 693-1033 ext. 116. Either the Nurse or the Athletic Trainer will be available to answer your questions.
Who should I contact if I need to discuss the fact that my child may need accommodations on a test?
First stop is to talk to your student’s teacher. Your child’s guidance counselor is also available to answer any questions. If your child is on an IEP, you can also touch base with your child’s liaison or the Special Education Department at (508) 693-1033 ext. 136.

Who should I contact if my child is involved with a Play or Minnesingers and I have a question?

How can I learn about what clubs are offered?
All clubs are listed here. Any questions you have that cannot be answered there can be answered by emailing Sheryl Taylor.
Who should I contact if I have a question about attendance, including my child’s absence or a recorded tardy or cut?

For long-term absences, please contact:
- the child’s guidance counselor to arrange for make-up work. The guidance counselor will serve as the liaison to the classroom teacher. Please do not contact the classroom teacher in these instances.
- the school nurse, so that she can serve as the liaison for all medical needs (if applicable).

How do students register for the SAT?
Students should register online at www.collegeboard.com. Students must have their test results sent directly to the colleges from the SAT Program. When the student takes their last SAT I or Subject Tests, the results have to be sent to all colleges the student is applying to directly from the SAT Program. They will send all your SAT results from that test and past tests at that time.
When is Freshmen Parents Night?
Freshmen Parents Night is in mid-September. All freshmen parents are invited to attend Freshmen Parents Night. Sara Dingledy, Principal and John Fiorito, Guidance Department Director, will host this night to answer any questions about the high school. This is annually a good night to hear from our staff and fellow parents about how the high school transition is working for everyone.
How do I register with FamilyID?
MVRHS will now be using FamilyID to gather MEDICAL and DEMOGRAPHIC information. Registration process should be completed by AUGUST 30. In future years, your child’s information will carry over and parents will only need to review, update and confirm. Please visit this page for instructions.
How do I register my child for athletics?
The parent of any student participating in a sport must complete Sports Registration to play. Please visit FamilyID to register.
What does “in good standing” mean?
Students must be ‘In Good Standing’ in order to participate in extra-curricular activities, school trips, school activities and to hold leadership positions. Seniors in good standing are eligible for Open Campus. To remain in good standing, students must:
- serve consequences when assigned, and not have any missed consequences on record;
- not be on social probation as a result of suspension;
- not have cut class or school on the school day of an event (if the activity/event is on a weekend, the school day immediately prior to the event counts);
- not be deemed a safety concern to the community; and
- demonstrate a willingness and ability to comply with the reasonable requests of adults and be redirected in the moment.
