We are pleased to announce that MVRHS will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for 2024-2025.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a non-pricing meal service option for qualifying schools and school districts that allows breakfast and lunch to be offered to all enrolled students at no cost. Schools and school districts that qualify are reimbursed for meals using a formula based on the percentage of students that are categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other State assistance programs.
What does this mean for you and your student(s) attending our school? Great news! All enrolled students of MVRHS are eligible to receive a reimbursable healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the school year. Your student(s) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. To learn more about the CEP provision, visit

What is a USDA reimbursable meal?
For lunch, each plate must have at least 3 components and 1 component must be a fruit or vegetable to be counted as reimbursable. For breakfast, each plate must have at least 3 items and 1 item must be a fruit. Per USDA, if the plate does not contain these items, the student will be charged a la carte pricing.
Children who would like to have a second meal, a non-reimbursable meal, or a la carte items will have the opportunity to purchase them. Items can be paid for in cash or by prepayment on the student’s cafeteria account. Prepayments can be made by creating and utilizing an account at myschoolbucks.com.
