Dear MVRHS Families,
Please join us for an all grade level Back to School Night for Parents on Thursday, October 13th. This event is an opportunity for parents to obtain information and ask questions about their student’s education. Opening remarks will start at 6:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Please be on time. If you have questions for Guidance or Administration, please arrive early.
The schedule for the evening allows parents the opportunity to follow an abbreviated schedule of their student’s classes. Unlike the regular 75 minute block, these classes will run for 10 minutes. Click here for a school map.
Teachers will review curriculum and tools for parents to monitor their student’s progress during the school year. Formal individual conferences can be scheduled with teachers in November. Take advantage of this opportunity to see the world your student inhabits every day and meet the people who teach them. It’s one of the best ways to build that all-important home-school connection.
Cafeteria Catch-Up (and Confections): Stop by the cafeteria during your student’s study hall, work study, open campus block or after the last block to enjoy coffee and dessert. If you would like to contribute a dessert, please sign up here. Bonus if you can represent your culture or family traditions within a dessert! There will also be a raffle for MVRHS swag at the end of the evening.
BEFORE BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
- Print your student’s schedule from PowerSchool or print and have your student complete the Back to School Night Form.
- Park in the parking lot next to the Performing Arts Center
- Arrive early
- Drop off shareable dessert in cafeteria
