Student Drop Off
As a reminder, please use the PAC parking lot and the gym parking lot for student drop off in the mornings. Please DO NOT use the front office parking lot to drop students off. This is an active parking lot and there are safety concerts with students exiting their cars into an active lot.
SWEAR Assembly
On the week of December 5th, students will be invited to attend an assembly sponsored by the MVRHS chapter of SWEAR (Stand With Everyone Against Rape). SWEAR is a rape and sexual assault prevention and awareness program. Due to the difficult nature of this topic MV Community Services’ CONNECT to end violence counselors will be available throughout the day should students need additional support. Any student who does not wish to attend the assembly will have the option to have a study period in the library. Please read this letter for more information.
Performing Arts Department Winter Concert
Come out to support MVRHS musicians in the Performing Arts Department annual Winter Concert on Thursday, Dec. 1st at 6:30 PM in the PAC. The concert will feature the school’s musical performing groups, including: Concert Band, MV Big Band, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, First Year Chorus, Vocal Ensemble, and Minnesingers. Admission is free and open to all.
Southeast Musical Festival Acceptances
Congratulations to the following students on their acceptance into the Southeast Music Festival! These students have worked for the past few months on their audition piece and competed against thousands of students from across the region to be accepted into this festival. Additionally, five of them received a recommendation to audition for All State in January. Emma Burt, Eli Friedman, Ava McGee, Hyunki Seonwoo, Gabi Silveira, Jack Tully, Aiden Weiland, Annabelle Brothers*, Jack Crawford*, Samuel Hines*, Linus Munn*, Katie Ogden*.
NHS Induction Ceremony Rescheduled
Congratulations to the new inductees of the National Honor Society! A reception and ceremony has been rescheduled to December 14th at 6:00 PM in the PAC.
Attention Juniors!
Please mark your calendars for Junior Post-High School Planning Night on November 30th at 6:30 pm via Zoom. This meeting will provide an overview of what to expect going forward as your students start to formulate their plans for after high school. An agenda and reminder with the Zoom link prior to the meeting.
Attention Seniors!
The MVYouth Scholarship Information Sessions are this Tuesday, November 29th at 6 and 7:30 PM Via zoom. The Zoom meeting link has been emailed to seniors and families. Contact scholarships@mvyps.org with any questions.
