Congratulations to the Performing Arts Department on an amazing Winter Jazz Fest on Friday night!
Holiday Fun!
Candy Cane Grams are still available during lunch period through December 21st. Students can stop by the table in the lobby to buy a candy cane gram for $1 to be sent to friends and teachers!
Ugly Sweater Day will be On December 23rd, the last day before winter recess. Wear your most festive, ugly attire!
Looking for that perfect gift for a MVRHS student? Look no further than the MVRHS 2023 Yearbook. A perfect gift for any student and a way to remember a year of good memories and happy times. Fill out this form and drop a check off at the front office, and your student will receive a yearbook in the new year, just in time for summer.
Holiday Treat Bags for Staff: Please help the PTSO wish our teachers and staff a wonderful holiday with holiday treat bags! The PTSO is asking families who are able to please donate a bag of individually wrapped candy, K cups for Keurig coffee machines, or Hot Cocoa. The leadership class will put all the treat bags together. Treats can be sent to school with your child OR dropped off during school hours at the front office by tomorrow, – Tuesday, Dec 20th at the latest!
National Honor Society Inductions
Come out to welcome the new inductees of the National Honor Society at the fall induction ceremony this Thursday, December 22nd at 6:00 PM in the PAC (reception at 6 pm and ceremony at 6:30 pm).
School Picture Retakes/Make-ups
School Picture Retakes/Make-ups are scheduled for January 19th from 10am – 12pm in the PAC. It is crucial that students have their picture taken for new MVRHS student ID badges. Add to calendar.
New Flex Opportunity
There is a new enrichment Flex opportunity open to all grade levels for anyone who identifies as male. This group will have conversations around growing up as a male – the challenges, the positives, and everything in between. Interested students can sign up for Flex with Mr. Malowski.
MV Chess Spotlight
The Chess team hosted Plymouth North (PN) HS on December 15th. PN brought 20 students which led to a spirited afternoon of 40 students from both schools matching their intellectual skills on the chess board. MVRHS and PN split with MVRHS winning the first match by a 3-2 margin. MVRHS’ Calebe Dos Santos and Finn Robinson won their first match while Kestutis Biskis and Broden Vincent came away with .5 points by forcing draws with their PN foes. Plymouth North won the second game 4.5 – 1.5. Caleb Dos Santos scored a point with his 2nd win while Nikola Nikolov (board 1) forced a stalemate in his second game for the .5 point. Both teams are 1-1 in league play. Check out photos from the match. MVRHS’ next match will be at Nauset HS on January 5th.
