Support from Riverside Trauma Center

Dear MVRHS Community,

Social workers from Riverside Trauma Center will be on the island this week to support staff, students and families. Note: Riverside can be available for any staff or students who are currently struggling with grief from a sudden loss or from the violence occurring in the Middle East. Loss of any kind can bring up personal loss and questions for people.

Please let Kim Garrison (kgarrison@mvyps.org) know if you would like to have time with a social worker from Riverside, either privately or in a coping group setting – with members of our faculty or mixed from the other schools. You may also reach out to Riverside directly to schedule your own private, virtual counseling session.

Riverside Parent/Guardian Support Group

As a follow up to the Riverside Trauma Center event held last week, Riverside will be hosting a Coping & Resource Group for parents/guardians on October 19th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. This group will be virtual and you must register for the group before 9 AM on Thursday, October 19. The group will be held for up to 14 people, so registration is required. The group will be conducted in English only. Register for this support group by emailing jfoxkemper@riversidecc.org. Upon registering, you will be provided a link to the virtual session.
