In a continued effort to strengthen our school community, MVRHS is seeking 25, 11th grade students (20 boys / 5 girls) to participate in our SWEAR program.
SWEAR’s mission is to educate MVRHS students on the myths, stereotypes, and repercussions of sexual assault and rape. The program is predominantly led by young men with the premise being that sexual violence is not just a women’s issue, but a men’s issue as well. The two day workshop focuses on masculinity, the socialization of manhood in our culture and the epidemic of sexual assault and rape.
Should you be chosen for SWEAR here is what you will be committing to:
Interested students should complete this application and submit it by Wednesday March 13, 2019. A committee including CONNECT counselors will then nominate the chosen applicants.
All applicants must be academically eligible and in good standing to participate in the off-campus retreat.
If you have any further questions, please contact Matt Malowski or Amy Lilavois.
