Letter from Principal Dingledy

Dear MVRHS Families,

Yesterday, Governor Baker announced that schools will be closed through April, with a goal to reopen May 4.  We know that this is a challenging time for so many families.  There are lots of unknowns, many districts–including our own–are working to figure out what online/distance learning should look like.  This is not a perfect exercise, and I am not sure if we will ever strike a perfect balance between engagement and making students overwhelmed, but we are working to get there.

We are awaiting guidance from the Department of Education about how we should proceed with regard to new content, distance learning and credit accumulation/grades.  As for now, we do not have an answer for how we will calculate Quarter 3 grades, or how to consider Quarter 4 work and credit.  Once we have received state guidance, we will create a plan and communicate it out to you.

Thanks for your patience with this and hope you are all hanging in there!

Sara Dingledy, Principal
