On October 9th, we hosted the Cardboard Challenge – a creative partnership between Alt-Ed and pre-schoolers across the street. The pre-school visited to show off their creations with their high school mentors. As part of the event, high school students read to their pre-school students books about creativity. Parents were invited.
Inspired by the short film, ‘Caine’s Arcade’, the Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual event presented by the Imagination Foundation that celebrates child creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it. [In] September, kids of all ages are invited to build anything they can dream up using cardboard, recycled materials and imagination.”
Special thanks goes to Anna Cotton for organizing this event!
