Kate’s project is to build a machine that, controlled by an Arduino, will grind up used PLA plastic bottles, heat them to 325 C, to create 1.75mm filament to be used in 3D printers.

Hi Kate, I am very interested with what you have done here. I have attempted just this but our drink bottles in Australia are PET. I am having problems. I have ground up the plastic and fed it into the extruder but it is clogging up at the end and not melting enough. What would you suggest
