Important info about our hybrid schedule starting tomorrow, January 11th.

Dear students and families,
The day to begin our hybrid model has finally arrived, and we are so excited to welcome you back into the building. There are a few housekeeping items I would like to go over before Monday to ensure that everyone has the most up-to-date information and we are all on the same page. Please review the following information and do not hesitate to reach out with additional questions.
Q: Where do I find transportation information (bus routes)?
Q: What do I do on asynchronous days or on days when I am not in school?
A: Please note your student’s bus schedule can be found at this link. We are directing all students and parents and guardians to our website: mvrhs.org for answers to most questions. If you don’t find answers to your questions, please contact Barbara-jean Chauvin.
A: Your primary responsibility on these days will be to visit teacher landing pages on www.mvrhs.org. There, teachers will outline and explain what you will be doing on days you are not in the building. Whether you will be learning synchronously or asynchronously on these days will vary depending on your teacher.
Q: What does learning look like if I’m in Cohort D?
A: Cohort D is labeled AD or BD, and you will be live-streaming on the days you would otherwise be in class. For example, if you are in AD, you will be live streaming on Monday and Tuesday when Cohort A is in the building. On Wednesday and Thursday, you will be visiting the teacher landing pages for the day’s instructions. Again, as with all cohorts, whether you will be learning synchronously or asynchronously on the remote days will vary depending on the teacher.
Q: How will my teacher take attendance?
A: Regardless of whether you are in-person or remote, you are expected to log on and be present at your designated class times. The expectation is that you will be up and ready for your first class every day at 7:40 A.M. Again, please look at individual teacher landing pages for more clarification on how your teacher will be taking attendance for your class.
Q: What are my individual responsibilities for attending school in-person?
A: When you come into the building, you must come with the understanding that you personally have a critical role to play in ensuring that our community remains a safe place to learn. Please understand that adults cannot be in all places at all times monitoring and correcting behavior, and they shouldn’t need to be. We have faith in your ability to follow all of the guidelines in place for your protection: wear your mask appropriately, practice proper hygiene, remain 6-feet apart at all times (even with a mask on), keep your hands to yourself, and do not wander from your assigned location without written permission.
Q: What will lunch look like when I’m in the building?
A: You will report to a specific classroom for Flex/Lunch when in-person. This classroom will be specified under “FLEX” on Powerschool. The cafeteria will have four pick-up stations located throughout the building. Teachers will let you know when and where to pick up lunch. You will have approximately 15 minutes to unmask and eat lunch. Once you have eaten, you will be asked to clean your desk and put your mask back on. Free lunch is available for all our MVRHS students. You may bring lunch from home or sign up for lunch through this link on the MVRHS website. The link goes live on Fridays at 3 p.m. for the following week!
Q: What if I have a study hall or open campus?
A: Seniors with an open campus first or last block should arrive after first block or leave before last block. Please check in and out at the front office. Seniors with an open campus in the middle of the day will have the option to either be in the courtyard tent or be placed in a study hall for the purposes of contact tracing. If you have a study hall, you will see the room number of the location of your study hall on your schedule in Powerschool. Study hall is a time for you to work independently. Cohort D students who are assigned to a study hall will use this time to disconnect and work offline.

Keeping you, your family, and our staff safe during this transition will require each of us to play a role in making it work, but we can do this! Parents and guardians, please help us by continuing to remind and reinforce expectations and safety protocols on your end, and students, please help to remind each other of the importance of following the rules during this challenging health crisis. Being together in person has been a long time coming, and we are all looking forward to getting back to some sort of new normal together. Hang in there, and know that we are all here to support you and committed to your success.

P: O que eu faço em dias assíncronos ou em dias em que não estou na escola?
R: Sua principal responsabilidade nesses dias será visitar as páginas dos professores no site: www.mvrhs.org. Lá, os professores descreverão e explicarão o que você fará nos dias em que não estiver no prédio escolar. Para decidir se você irá aprender de forma síncrona ou assíncrona nesses dias, isso dependerá de seu professor.
P: Como é o aprendizado se eu estiver no Coorte (grupo) D?
R: A Coorte D é identificada como AD ou BD, e você fará a transmissão ao vivo nos dias em que estaria na sala de aula. Por exemplo, se você estiver no AD, fará uma transmissão ao vivo na segunda e terça-feira, quando a Coorte A estiver no prédio escolar. Na quarta e na quinta-feira, você visitará as páginas de destino do professor para obter as instruções do dia. Novamente, como acontece com todas as coortes, para decidir se você aprenderá de forma síncrona ou assíncrona nos dias remotos dependerá do professor.
P: Como meu professor fará a chamada?
R: Independentemente de você estar presencial ou remoto, espera-se que você se conecte e esteja presente nos horários de aula designados. A expectativa é que você esteja de pé e pronto para sua primeira aula todos os dias às 7h40. Novamente, por favor, olhe individualmente na página do seu professor teacher landing pages para obter mais esclarecimentos sobre como seu professor irá registrar a chamada de sua aula.
P: Quais são minhas responsabilidades individuais para frequentar a aula presencial?
R: Ao entrar no prédio escolar, você deve entender que tem um papel fundamental a desempenhar para garantir que nossa comunidade continue sendo um lugar seguro para aprender. Por favor, entenda que os adultos não podem estar em todos os lugares o tempo todo monitorando e corrigindo o comportamento, e nem devem estar. Acreditamos na sua capacidade de seguir todas as diretrizes em vigor para sua proteção: use sua máscara apropriadamente, pratique a higiene adequada, permaneça a 6 pés de distância o tempo todo (mesmo com uma máscara), mantenha suas mãos para si mesmo e não saia de seu local designado sem permissão por escrito.
P: Como será o almoço quando eu estiver no prédio escolar?
R: Você irá se direcionar a uma classe específica para o Flex / Almoço quando estiver presencial. Esta sala de aula será especificada como “FLEX” no Powerschool. O refeitório terá quatro estações de coleta localizadas em todo o prédio escolar. Os professores informarão quando e onde buscar o almoço. Você terá aproximadamente 15 minutos para tirar a máscara e almoçar. Depois de comer, será solicitado que você limpe sua mesa e coloque a máscara de volta.Almoço gratuito está disponível para todos os nossos alunos MVRHS. Q: E se eu tiver um study hall ou campus?
A: Os estudantes Seniors que tiver open campus no primeiro ou o último bloco devem chegar após o primeiro bloco ou sair antes do último bloco. Por favor, faça o check-in e check-out na recepção. Os Seniors com open Campus no meio do dia terão a opção de ficar na tenda do pátio ou em um study hall para fins de rastreamento de contato. Se você tiver uma study hall, verá o número da sala e a localização de seu study hall na sua programação no Powerschool. O study hall é um momento para você trabalhar de forma independente. Os alunos da Coorte D atribuídos a um study hall usarão esse tempo para se desconectar e trabalhar offline.

Para manter você, sua família e nossa equipe seguros durante essa transição exigirá que cada um de nós desempenhe um papel em fazer com que funcione, mas podemos fazer isso! Pais e responsáveis, ajudem-nos continuando a lembrar e reforçando as expectativas e os protocolos de segurança de vocês, e os alunos, ajudem a lembrar uns aos outros da importância de seguir as regras durante esta crise de saúde desafiadora. Estar juntos pessoalmente tem levado um longo tempo, e todos nós estamos ansiosos para voltar a algum tipo de normalidade juntos.
