Schedule: 16 hours/week (April – October)

Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (w/ 1 hour break for lunch)

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Farm Assistant to support both our agricultural operations and our community programming. This role is a mix of hands-on farm labor and assisting occasionally with our inclusive programs for adults and summer campers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Animal & Site Maintenance: Manage daily feeding/watering; perform deep cleaning of goat and chicken coops to maintain high sanctuary standards.
  • Agricultural Support: Assist with weeding, planting, harvesting, and general farm tasks as directed by the Farm Manager.
  • Market Prep: Take a lead role on Tuesdays and Fridays in prepping produce and inventory for the Farmer’s Market.
  • Program Assistance: Work alongside our staff to support neurodiverse adults and campers during farm-based activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all. Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in farming, landscaping, or animal care is preferred.
  • Social Skill: Comfortable and compassionate when working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Physicality: Ability to perform manual labor (lifting, mucking stalls, gardening) in various weather conditions.
  • Commitment: Available for the full season (mid-April through October).
