Hello Ninth Graders,
What a great first two weeks! Thank you for your energy and excitement. We are glad you are officially part of MVRHS, and I am personally looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you are going to do this school year.
At this time, you should be settling into your academic and elective classes. Many of you have been to guidance, or sent me an email to check in and work on your schedules. At this point in time, most of the elective courses are filled to capacity, but if anyone is still deciding whether to drop an elective, the add/drop period is officially over today Friday, September 15th. If you are worried about the academic level you are in in a particular class, and you are thinking of a potential change, you should come to guidance and we can talk over your individual situation. The add/drop deadline can be extended for 9th graders into next week if you are ultimately going to change an academic level.
I will be checking in with many ninth graders over the next several weeks. When your appointment time comes, you will receive a pass in your first period class. It will indicate the date and time of your appointment. In the meantime, if you would like to have an individual time to meet with me, please come to guidance and set up an appointment with Cindy at the guidance front desk.
A reminder that this email along with other important announcements for the class of 2027 can be found on the MVRHS website here.
