Welcome to MVRHS.  We are happy to welcome community events!  Please note the following about facilities access.

School Days:

• 7:00 am – 2:15 pm: School events only.  All visitors must sign into the main office.
• 2:15 pm – 10:00 pm: Supervised and Scheduled School Events and Permit use only. Please contact Mike Taus for details.
• 10:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Building Closed to public, students and staff

Non-school days:

• 7:00 am – 10:00 am: Access to facilities through the permit process only.  Contact Mike Taus.

Accessing or entering MVRHS facilities in any way other than what is outlined above is unauthorized and could result in legal or school based actions.

During the school day (7:00 am – 2:15 pm)

• Students should be in their assigned area, or otherwise with a pass. This helps us locate students if necessary and ensure everyone’s safety and accountability.
• Visitors and parents must report to the office for access to the building and access it through the front door.
• Other doors are locked, and should not be used by anyone to access the building unless for re-entry (for PE, horticulture).

After the school day (2:15 pm – 6:00 pm)

• Students may remain after school as part of an organized and/or supervised activity, including sports, clubs, extra help.
• Students who have a gap between an activity and the school day, they are welcome to be in the library (open until 5:00 pm daily).
• Students may venture to the YMCA during this time and still take the late bus home.
• Parents and visitors may access the building through the front door or an alternative open door for school based or permitted activities.
• The door by the locker rooms will be open until 6:00 pm. After that, they will be locked and people may not access the building through that door.
• All community groups should have a permit for a specific area with a point person in charge. The group is responsible for:
  • maintaining security for that area;
  • maintaining security and limiting access beyond the designated permitted area;
  • safety and security of the people that are in the building under that permit;
  • Ensuring all participants safely exit the building following the activity

After Hours (6:00 pm – 10:00 pm)

• School events or permitted events that use the facilities after hours will have a point person in charge who is responsible for:
  • maintaining security for that area;
  • maintaining security and limiting access beyond the designated permitted area;
  • safety and security of the people that are in the building under that permit;
  • Ensuring all participants safely exit the building following the activity.

Building Closed (10:00 pm – 7:00 am)
