Hello Seniors and families!
Thank you so much to those of you that attended our College Application Night. We hope it was informative and eased some anxieties about the college process! As always, please reach out to us anytime with questions. If you weren’t able to attend, we recorded the meeting and will post that on the guidance page soon.
Here are the websites that we referenced in our meeting, for your quick reference:
- The College Board (SAT sign ups and sending scores to colleges)

Please refer to the Senior Year Checklist throughout the college application process. It will help your student stay on track and avoid missing any steps. We will review this document with your student during the senior meeting. (We don’t expect all of the items on the list to be completed by that time!) We will send a separate email to your student’s MVRHS email account, with a link to our calendars so they can sign up for a meeting. They need to sign up directly through their gmail account.
We will also provide instructions for what to do if your student would like, or needs, a letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor, adjustment counselor or school administrator. Only students have access to this form through their gmail accounts.
Please remind your student to check their emails regularly, and read any emails from the Guidance Team right away!
